Acumen East Africa Fellowship 2025 for Social Entrepreneurs

Apply now for the Acumen East Africa Fellowship 2025. Acumen supports social entrepreneurs in East Africa who are working to make a positive change in their communities.

The Acumen Academy trains these leaders with practical skills to create solutions for poverty and teaches them to be strong, moral leaders who aim to improve the world.

The East Africa Acumen Fellowship is a program that brings together talented individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for reducing poverty. They provide fellows with tools and support to enhance their leadership skills, expand their impact, and create meaningful change in East Africa.

Program Structure

Fellows continue their jobs while participating in a 6-month hybrid program that includes virtual sessions, in-person immersive, and self-paced learning.  

Here’s a brief overview of the program:  

• One 3-day virtual Orientation 
• Two 5-day full-time in-person immersive (with 8 hours of assignments each)
• Three Learning Labs (4 hours each, plus assignments)

Eligibility  

This fellowship is open to social entrepreneurs in East Africa. You are a good fit for the fellowship if:  

• You want to advance your work and are looking for support on your journey. 
• You have a bold vision for your work and wish to grow as a credible and inspiring leader focused on moral leadership.
• You believe that dignity, not just wealth, is the opposite of poverty and want to provide people in poverty with choices in jobs, education, and services.
• You use business tools to create scalable market-based solutions to poverty and improve lives.
• You feel a strong urge to make an impact in the world and are eager to connect with others who share your passion.
