Applications for the University of Eastern Finland Scholarship for the academic year 2025 are now open. Students from around the globe are invited to apply for Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs at the University of Eastern Finland. There are nearly 500 student positions available across 25 programs.
Scholarships offered by the University of Eastern Finland are open to non-European citizens. The courses for these programs are set to commence in the autumn of 2025. The University of Eastern Finland prides itself on a diverse student community, with around 2,000 international students from over 100 different countries. It is a public institution. Financial Support Details
There are three types of scholarships available for non-Europeans:
- UEF Scholarship: A complete 100% Tuition Waiver
- Tuition Waiver: Up to a 50% reduction of the tuition fee
- Finnish Proficiency Tuition Waivers: Available during studies at UEF.
Note: There are no tuition fees for Finnish citizens and all EU/EEA and Swiss citizens.

Eligibility Requirements For The University of Eastern Finland Scholarship
The four eligibility requirements for the University of Eastern Finland Scholarship are as follows:
- Both international and Finnish citizens are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have completed their secondary education.
- Both Finnish and international candidates who possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree are eligible for Master’s degree program admissions.
- Applicants must also meet the specific requirements of their chosen program.
English Language Proficiency
An English Language Test is unnecessary if the applicant has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from a university in the following countries:
Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Dominica, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, the United Kingdom, the United States, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
